The Dragons are on their way to cheer on Notre Dame at Stanford this weekend. Decked out in their mock raccoon coats, boater hats, and waving the ND pennants, the Dragons are ready – they just need to crank up the engine and head out on the open road.
In honor of the occasion, the Dragons decided to recreate what fans would have worn at the first meeting of these two rival teams, which was the Rose Bowl game held on January 1, 1925. The Irish beat the Cardinals 27 to 10, to earn their first national title.
Here’s to a safe trip and an exciting game!
(Michelle Stanton made the outfits, pennants, suitcases, and set up the scenario. Robbin Dawson provided the vintage automobile. A heartfelt thank you to these two special ladies!)
