LOOK WHAT THE DRAGONS MADE! April 19, 2017

The Library Dragons decided to make a bird house for their fine feathered friends.  When the rain stops, the Dragons will put the bird house in a tree.  The Dragons had help from their friend, Alecia Lunt, who helped them and took pictures.  A good time was had by all!

NEW DRAGON AT THE LIBRARY! March 22, 2017

Author William Kent Krueger, and his wife, Diane, sent us something very special in the mail last week!  This is what the note said:  “The dragon showed up on our doorstep a while ago, looking for a nice home.  Of course, we thought of you.”

How could we resist adding this adorable dragon to our menagerie?  We have named our new friend “Cork” as in “Cork the Dragon,” and sort of a junior to Mr. Cork O’Connor.  Stop back and see how Cork is feeling in his new home!

Kent & Diane gave us a wonderful donation for our Library project!  Now, their names, along with Cork O’Connor’s, will also grace our Library Wall of Donators.  Wouldn’t you like to add yours, too?

Please consider making a donation to our Library project.  Learn how by following this link:

STUDENTS MOVE A LIBRARY! January 18, 2017

STUDENT'S TRANSFER 9,000 BOOKS FROM ONE BUILDING TO ANOTHER, IN JUST 90 MINUTES!
On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, the AHS Senior High students in grades 9-12 transferred the Library book collection from the current location, to the temporary site at 100 E. 1st Street.  Approximately 200 students made four to five trips each, and carried arm loads of books in a continuous line on that sunny afternoon.
KSFY-TV was there to film the event, as well as other news sources:
